Join us this June for a fun and educational music summer camp experience. Since the first SCC Summer Camp in 2006 we have been devoted to offering the children of our community amazing summer choir experiences, and we are so excited for the experiences we are planning for campers this year.
Full Day campers rehearse every morning and will be learning and developing their sight singing and aural skills, growing their voices with group lessons, deep diving gospel repertoire with our Savannah Choir Co-Director, Mr. Delandrian Aikens, and learning dance, rhythm, and movement.
We're excited to welcome back celebrated multi-genre choral composer, Jim Papoulis, to teach composition for our campers.
Each day in the afternoon we have additional enrichment opportunities for our singers featuring local musicians, workshops, and, on Thursday, a talent show for all our amazing students (Mr. Gil may try to juggle).
Half Day Discovery campers will have all the same opportunities as full day campers at an age appropriate level. There will also be theme days with unique challenges and games to grow and challenge our young singers. Prepare for drama and musicals on Broadway day! Hone your skills in preparation for the Music Olympics day! Rumor has it there may be rare and wonderful stickers to collect at our Summer Camp this year. Can you get them all?
Camp culminates in a Friday evening concert for all our friends and families to see the hard work that we have been putting in all week. We can't wait!
