Summer Camp Positions
Summer Internships are designed to transform talented college students into confident educators through real-life experience. These interns teach one of the many summer camp classes (Music Theory I and II, Music History I and II, Movement/Choreography, Sight Singing/Vocal Technique, A Cappella). Your day consists of teaching 7-8 classes with a built in planning period, choir observation time, and duties (arrival, lunch, and dismissal).
Lead Assisting Intern
Manage, coordinate and communicate with all assisting interns; troubleshoot, roam and provide designated breaks for all assisting interns throughout the day
Travel with a group of campers from class to class and work specifically on management techniques, building rapport, and observing all the different teaching interns and their styles. These interns also assist with assigned tasks regarding recess, lunch, and other duties that allow camp to run.
This summer Fellowship gives 1st or 2nd year teachers the opportunity to build community with other music professionals, work closely with an auditioned community choir, enhance skills, and take back new techniques to their schools and communities.

A competitively selected fellowship that provides local professional music educators the opportunity to build community with other music professionals, work closely with an auditioned community choir, enhance skills, and take back new techniques to their schools.
Adult community volunteers with a passion or expertise in music or education who are invested in the mission of the SCC and want to serve. Level of involvement is determined by the volunteer’s ability to serve.
College or high school students interested in music education or enhancing their vocal skills who assist in rehearsal and at performances with various assigned tasks.
College or high school students who has passed the piano audition and performs various tasks as assigned as well as accompanies as needed.
Not specifically for music majors, this internship is designed for students who want to learn the skills necessary to reach out and provide technical assistance to local schools. By participating in the SCC’s Choir 911 program, college students will visit schools with the SCC’s Director of Education and Music, interact with local teachers and students, and work directly with school children. The only skill you need is the ability to and passion for singng!
Armstrong Administrative Intern
A five-year grant funded position that provides a paid internship for Armstrong State University students to learn the inner workings of not-for-profit arts management.
